Recently we went to visit the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL and it was a cool place to spend the day. Lots of rockets, lots of space history, and lots of cool stuff to see!

Walking around the various exhibits makes it easy to imagine living in space.

Here is one of the Apollo command modules. It looks pretty small for a 238,000 mile trip, but it must’ve been an improvement over the Gemini capsules!

Gotta love the Apollo exhibits!

The Saturn V seems an enormous rocket when laying on its side, but it is even more so when standing upright! Here I am standing under one of the engine bells. Colossal!

This is a cool shot of two different eras. I’m glad we got Von Braun and his team to join with us after the war!

And there’s much more to see that what’s in these photos. If you’re a space and/or rocket fan, you need to see the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. It’s worth the trip!
